THE YOUNG PEOPLE AS A MISSION FIELD
1.
Teens today make up the largest percentage of our generation
2.
The belief system, value system, worldview they adopt will greatly shape
the future of our nation and the world.
3.
Survey shows 90% of Christians made their decision for Christ before the age
20.
4.
If we don’t get them for Christ at their
teen age years, who will?
5.
The strategies of the enemy using media and technology is dynamic, offensive,
aggressive, sophisticated, even extravagant; how about our strategies?
6.
The culture of sin and the culture of lies is strongly attracting the youth.
If we do not point them to the truth, they will easily embrace the lies , the artificial, the superficial, the non-eternal standards for self worth and life purpose.
Drugs and alcohol
Casual sex
Virtual world
Merchandise
7.
There is a desperate need for the youth today to know the Truth, the Biblical
core belief system for faith, life and practice
8.
To make matters worse, the youth are being pulled away from the very people
who can help them: family and church leaders.
THE YOUNG PEOPLE AS A MISSION
FORCE
1 John
2:13 - 14 13 I write to you, fathers, because
you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because
you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, dear children, because you have known the Father. 14 I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from
the beginning. I write to you, young men, because
you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the
evil one.
Observations for the passage:
1.
The young are designed by God to be a force against the works of the devil
2.
They have the characteristics of strength and being overcomers
3.
But, the condition is: the word of God lives in them!
