CALLING THE YOUTH TO `WIZE UP’

WizeUp!

          WizeUp is the discipleship program of FARM for the youth. It is a parallel component of the church Moving experience discipleship program – where we move people towards increasing levels of commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and His church.

Why WizeUp?

          The key to the strength and overcoming ability of the youth is when the Word of God lives in them. `I write to you, young men,     because you are strong,  and the word of God lives in you,  and you have overcome the evil one. 1 John 2:14    

          The Youth, with its strength has weakness. Youth implies inexperience and immaturity. It is the period in life of testing, refining, and purifying so that one becomes what God wants him to be.     "Our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace." Psalm 144:12        

          The enemy through the culture of sin and lies works to capture the hearts and minds of the youth. He deceives the youth into believing and embracing the artificial, the superficial, the non eternal standards for self worth and life purpose. Further, he disconnects and pulls them away  from the very people who can help them. His strategies using media and technology are dynamic, offensive, aggressive, sophisticated, and even extravagant. 

          There is a pressing need for the youth today to know the Truth, the Biblical core belief system for faith, life and practice. There is a desperate need for the youth today to be connected in healthy relationships with parents, the church and friends. 

          We therefore sound the call to the young – to WizeUp!
